I want to see your lives full of true goodness, produced by the power that Jesus Christ gives you to the glory and praise of God.

In Christ our lives can be full of true goodness. A lot of our activities can look pretty good to us but the activities that have true goodness are generated by God. These are the activities that are going to make a lasting consequence of good in our lives and the lives of others. When you get into Christ and His power wonderful things start to happen! In Christ you have the opportunity for the effect of your life to be multiplied! In Christ there can be true goodness in all your works!

True goodness. It's easy to get into doing "good works" without there being true goodness in them. It's not so much that there's anything wrong in our "good works" but they can be very empty if we do not have God in them and originating them. We're given an example of this in the prayer activity of the outwardly religious people of Jesus' day. Jesus noted how they prayed publicly. Then He declared that they would have no fruit from it but praise from men. On the other hand, Jesus explained, others can be engaged in seemingly the same activity of prayer but with a different heart and receive a reward openly from God. Matthew 6:5-6.

God wants to use you to bring into the earth a manifestation of His goodness. No matter who you are or where you are if you will seek the Lord He can direct your steps and teach you to continually have a reward of His goodness both for yourself and others. Let's have a heart for true goodness to pervade all we do!

May His true goodness be yours!
