Live deeply in Christ
Christ's anointing teaches you the truth...And now, children, stay with Christ. Live deeply in Christ. Then we'll be ready for him when he appears, ready to receive him with open arms, with no cause for red-faced guilt or lame excuses when he arrives.
1 John 2:27-28 - The Message Translation
What's our greeting of Jesus going to be like at His second coming? Won't it be glorious if we can wholeheartedly and excitedly greet Him! Let's live out our lives for that to be so. Let's live so we can greet Him with no regrets but only joy! The way to live like that is to abide in Him. The Message translation refers to this as living deeply in Him. As you live deeply in Him you live indissolubly linked to Him. Col.2:6.
Apostle John teaches about living deeply in Christ. He says it comes about by walking in the teaching that the anointing gives. The anointing is from the Anointed One. The anointing is with the Holy Spirit and power. The anointing flows down to us from Christ the head of the Church. This is why we are called Christians because Jesus is the Anointed One so we are anointed ones. The anointing teaches you how to live deeply in Christ, how to live rightly in yourself and how to live rightly in your relationship with others. Follow through on that teaching and joy will increase at the thought of Christ's return! 1Joh.2:20,27.
Live deeply in Christ - let the strongest union in your life be that of your heart to His heart! Live rightly in yourself - stabilise your heart in Christ and possess your soul in victory! Live rightly in your relationship with others - let your sweet reasonableness be known to them. Get alongside them to help them. Ja.5:8, Phil.4:5.
Live like Jesus is due to arrive!
