God's People
This will be written for the generation to come, that a people yet to be created may praise the Lord.
Psalm 102:18 - NKJV
Remember again what God did for you on that wonderful day of your salvation when you accepted Jesus! Remember again where you were at when Jesus found you and rescued you. Now think about the change that took place - on the inside of you - on that day. Look up the scriptures that describe your new birth - it will bless you. The scriptures tell how you became a new creation. They describe your new creation condition. The apostle Paul helped the Corinthians with this information in his letters to them - read 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 and 2 Corinthians 5:17 and you'll be praising God for what He has done in your life.
While you're praising go beyond just reflecting on what God has done for you, think about all the new creation brothers and sisters you have! In your mind, put yourself standing together with them. Visualise the people God has created for Himself! Picture yourself with them, gathered before the throne of God as the people of God! Revelation 7:9-10 describes how that will look. Read it to help you picture it and then praise like those in that scene praise!
You are a new creation in Christ. You are one of the people of whom the scripture at the top speaks! You are one of "the generation to come" that it declares. At the time of the declaring of that scripture you were yet to be created. However, now you are created in Christ Jesus! The Bible therefore says, "You are His own special people - a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation!" What a cause for excitement and rejoicing! 1Pet.2:9.
Remember, you are one of God's people!
