The Word of hope!
Remember the word to Your servant, upon which You have caused me to hope.
Psalm 119:49 - NKJV
King David the psalmist penned the words above. David was a man with the Spirit of God who meditated on God's written word. In those times of meditation God's words turned for him from being generalised pronouncements to being personal assurances. God's written word became for him the word on which God caused him to hope! It is this word David calls on God to remember. It is this word He is looking to Him to fulfil.
King Solomon also had words from God on which he had been caused to hope. On the basis on just such hope Solomon worked on building and furnishing the temple. As the temple was completed he declared, "Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, who has fulfilled with His hands what He spoke with His mouth!" That prayer, beginning with praise, soon continues with requests for Solomon had more words from God on which he'd been caused to hope. He was looking for these to be fulfilled too. He prayed, "Now, O Lord God of Israel let Your word (the further words of promise I have) come true!" 2Chron.6:4,17.
Words on which you've been caused to hope are the words you should present back to God in prayer. God's Spirit can minister God's written word into your life in such a way that it becomes "the word on which God has caused you to hope". Meditate on God's written word and God's Spirit will make scriptures you read stand out as personal assurances to you. Like Solomon praise God for His words that He has fulfilled to you. Then ask Him to fulfil more of those "words on which He has caused you to hope".
Make request to God presenting to Him His Word!
