Drink more water
On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink."
John 7:37 - NKJV
While living close to the Equator in about 1981 I started getting back pains. The sensation was like that of a headache - only low down in my back. I prayed over my back for healing. However, when nothing changed, I began to pray about it, enquiring of the Lord. The Lord then spoke in my spirit and said, "You're not drinking enough water!" The moment I increased my daily water intake and my backaches stopped.
Like your body needs water, your soul and spirit needs Living Water! People need the Living Water that Jesus offers. Christians need more of that Living Water than they realise. Jesus realised it. For this reason He cried out to you, "Do you thirst, then come to Me and drink!". What is this Living Water? Living water is flowing water. It is water not bottled up and stored as we find it in the Word of God recorded on paper. Rather, it is water released and flowing as we find it in the Word of God reaching our hearts by God's Spirit! It is this water that quenches the deepest thirst. It is this water that refreshes the innermost parts of your spirit. Psa.42:1-2.
Christ is the source of that water! He is the Fountain of Life. The water He gives you is the water of the heavenly river. About that river it is written, "everything will live wherever the river goes"! The water of this river refreshes and revitalising. Step forwards into Christ's presence and drink of it! Put your heart in a posture of prayer and, by His Spirit, soak up His Word! Psa.36:9, Eze.47:9.
