God delivers!
What shall I render to the Lord For all His benefits toward me? I will take up the cup of salvation, And call upon the name of the Lord. I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving, And will call upon the name of the Lord.
Psalm 116:12,13,17 - NKJV
Are you in a bad place? Offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving! Deliverance needs a calling on the name of the Lord. The Christian life is not only about establishment. It is also about deliverance. We have five realms to our existence - spirit, soul, body, financial and social. God wants to give us deliverance from the bad in all of these realms so establishment in the good can happen.
Deliverance is an escape from the place of oppression and affliction. It is your removal from the place of lack or tyranny into God's place of His inheritance in Christ! Deliverance is a work of sudden power. Establishment is a building process. You must discern where you are at in your life in every realm of your life. Recognise whether you need deliverance or whether you're in a place where establishment ought to be happening. Ecclesiates 8:5b.
Prayer for deliverance has to be strong in character. Prayer looking for establishment rarely needs aggressive forcefulness. Prayer for deliverance, on the other hand, will be mighty and authoritative in its determination to be free. You will have to be assertive in this prayer because your enemy is intent on keeping you in bondage. Calling on the name of the Lord you will have to resist the devil and bind his plots. You will need to command what is not part of your inheritance in Christ to remove itself from your life. You will need to order any spirit behind your affliction or oppression to depart! Ephesians 6:11-13.
Call on the name of the Lord! Be delivered!
