Your refuge

by Pastor Simon

Since all this is true, we ought to pay much closer attention than ever to the truths that we have heard, lest in any way we drift past them and slip away...How shall we escape if we neglect and refuse to pay attention to such a great salvation?

Hebrews 2:1 - Amplified Bible

I am so glad I have God's Word to live this life with! In the world we're constantly subjected to anything from a flood of lies to a deluge of bad news that threatens to carry us off but God's Word gives us a place of safety. It's a rock on which we can stand. Be sure you daily resort to God's Word! In doing so you'll keep your life out of the flood of this world and living in the blessing that comes from the Word's revelation of truth. Mat.7:24-27.

God's Word has a rock foundation you can build on. You can establish your works on it. There is no need for you to build your life's works on the shifting sand of man's perspective or perception of things. You can get up on the safety and security of God's Word. God has principles for life, safety, peace of mind, success and right living which have proved sound through countless generations. They worked in the days of Abraham, Joshua, David and Paul and they still work today. Josh.1:8,

Use your devotions time to rediscover in God's Word the sphere of peace in which your life ought to be. Pray and look for God's Spirit to lead you as you meditate on the principles and precepts of it. In pondering the counsel of God's Word you will see how to move into the safety of the centre of God's will. Pray and ask God for the inner strength to make the journey. Pray and seek the Holy Spirit's revelation of power, purpose and truth. Eph.1:17-19.

God's Word - it's your refuge, it's your safety!
