God with you

by Pastor Simon

He (Gideon) said to Him, "O my Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house." Then the Lord said to him, "Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man."

Judges 6:15-16 - NKJV

God has a plan for you. What has your circumstance got to do with its fulfilment? Your natural man - like Gideon in the verse above - replies to God by telling Him your inadequacies. At one point Moses did that. At first Gideon did that, as we hear above. Yet, young Mary in Nazareth didn't! She heard the words, "With God nothing shall be impossible" and responded with, "Let it be to me according to your word." Ex.4:10; Jud.6:15; Luk.1:37-38.

It's time to be like Mary! It's time to be conscious of God with you! Lay aside your own ideas about who you are and what you can do. Instead, take to heart what God says about who you are, what He's done for you and what He can do with you when you're trusting Him. People of God have done great things for God when they have received what God has declared over them. They recognised they weren't anything special but they acknowledged God with them could do special things through them.

Take your eyes off yourself and put them on Jesus - this is how to move with God into His plan for you! You will never have the perfect background, the perfect education and the perfect financial and social standing for the job but Jesus always has the perfect anointing for you. What does He need from you? Simply, your willingness! As the old saying goes, "The best ability is availability!"

Let God be your sufficiency!
