Actions of faith
When Moses was getting ready to build the Tabernacle, God gave him this warning; "Be sure that you make everything according to the design I have shown you here on the mountain."
Hebrews 8:5 - NKJV
What God shows you always works out! But that statement has to be qualified. What God shows you works out as much as you are faithful to follow through on what He has shown.
Moses heeded God's warning to ensure he built the Tabernacle exactly to the design he'd been shown. His faithfulness demonstrated his faith in the vision and its promise. As a result, he and the people came to see the glory of God filling the Tabernacle. (See verse above and Exo.40:34.) The apostle Paul was faithful to follow through on the heavenly vision he had received. As a result, a crown of righteousness became his at the end of his life. (See Paul's speech to Agrippa - Acts 26:19.) At the wedding in Cana the servants faithfully acted on the Lord's instructions. They believed enough to do what they were told. This faith made them faithful to carry out the instructions. As a result, the wedding guests drank the best wine last. (See Joh.2:1-11.)
Are you longing to see God's goodness in the way He promised it to you? Hold to any directions you received that came along with the heavenly vision. Faithfulness - as demonstrated by your diligence to the heavenly vision - is the way to come into God's promises. Faithfulness is about speaking words and doing actions in the direction of the vision's fulfilment. You won't need to push and pull in human strength, your faithfulness will cause you to flow in His strength. Such faithfulness draws in the vision until it is plainly seen in your life.
Faith calls for faithfulness
