Christmas cards carry that greeting! But it's not just on Christmas cards - it's in the Bible! This is the declaration of a multitude of heaven's angels as they joined in announcing our Saviour's birth. The angels of heaven appeared proclaiming the news of this most glorious manifestation of God's love for mankind. By their appearing the angels astonished the shepherds. They were overawed but they listened with rapt attention to the news the angels declared.
Are you hearing what Heaven declares of God's love towards you? To hear it requires time giving your attention to what God would say to you. The Holy Spirit is speaking all the time - ministering a way into God's plan of goodness for your life. This coming week take time to listen. Step aside from busyness to commune with the Holy Spirit! Listen for the still, small voice in your heart ministering comfort and the way into God's peace to you. Follow up and follow through on the instruction you hear. Be like the shepherds who upon hearing went off to the stable in Bethlehem to see the Saviour who was born that day! Is.48:17.
God declares His works to His people! There is a continuous revelation of God to His people of what He has done and will do. Amos the prophet writes, "Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets." God has a father-to-children relationship with His people. He reveals the "secret" of this relationship to those who have come to Him through His Son Jesus. Amos 3:7.
Give Heaven your attention!
