The Daily Guide
Your strength
To them (the saints) God willed to make known...Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Colossians 1:27 - NKJV
Faced with the stresses of modern living it's easy to feel under-equipped. You might even feel lacking in courage and inspiration as you stand at the door to your day. This is the moment to get your eyes off yourself. It's time to get your eyes on Jesus. First thing in the morning is the moment to start looking to Jesus, your hope of glory!
Have Jesus on your mind as you run the race of life today. Stop before you launch out into the busyness of your day and take time to pray. Take time to reflect on Christ as the Apostle and High Priest of your confession. Take time to remember how Jesus began His good work in you and how He's going to take it right through to perfection. Instead of reflecting on your weaknesses or the possibility of failure reflect on Jesus Christ. As a background to all you do, be mindful of who Jesus is to you, what He has done for you and what He ever lives to do for you. Jesus gave His life that you might live through Him! Jesus is the author and finisher of your faith. He's the hope of glory in you. Heb.3:1 and 12:1-3.
Consider Jesus. This is God's call to you. If all you can see are your own resources discouragement can come on you and you'll feel like quitting. God has a plan for you to make it through Jesus; His plan is beyond using what you've got, His plan is using what Christ has got on your behalf! You'll realise you have what it takes when you realise Christ is in you. Christ is to you wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption and more! 1Cor.1:30.
You can make it today through Christ!
