A story of glory
Joseph said to them, "As for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive."
Genesis 50:19-20 - NKJV
It's Joseph son of Jacob in that verse above telling his testimony to his older brothers. Years before they had thrown him in a pit. Now he was on a seat of authority in Egypt. Looking back on it, it was his brothers' wicked plan but it was Joseph's lack of discretion that got him into the trouble. However, now, he could praise God that the Lord had brought him out of his desperate plight into a salvation he could share! This was a story of a glory - God's glory and God's goodness at work in a man's life.
Who hasn't been in a pit of some sort like Joseph? God from the beginning destined you for good things but maybe you let the devil hijack your bus of life at some point. I've been there. There have been times when my indiscretion has given the devil chance to enlist people or circumstances against me and it landed me in a hole (or pit) like Joseph. In those times I cried out to God just as Joseph must have done. I called on the Lord to take back His charge over my vehicle of life and get me to His destination! In faithfulness God has brought me out of every hole and took me on to His blessing.
If you've woken up today realising you're in some sort of hole then call out to God. Resist the devil. Don't let the devil have any further charge over your bus of life. Invite God to take back over the your life's vehicle. Let God give you a testimony of His goodness to tell. May a story of glory emerge in your life! Jer.29:11.
God intends you to reach glory!
