Spiritual blessings
I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers...that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
Philemon 1:4,6 - NKJV
As you enter a room, if the room is too dark, too hot or too cold you go for the switch. Our modern rooms are complete with appliances that work for us in creating a favourable living environment. Once we've switched them on our appliances go to work changing the conditions of the room for the better.
Spiritually also there are condition-changing switches. If you need a change you need to go for the appropriate switch. God by the Holy Spirit ministers to you the things of the Spirit. The things of the Holy Spirit have the ability to transform hostile, burdensome or inconvenient conditions into thoroughly favourable ones. Nevertheless, for the effect of them to be experienced in your life the power of the "things of the Spirit" must be turned on. You are only going to experience their impact when you turn on the spiritual switch! Ja.1:17, Gal.5:22-23, 1Cor.12:1-11.
The apostle Paul directs you to a powerful spiritual switch. He writes, "The sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing." The switch he points to is acknowledgement! You need a continuous, joyous acknowledgement of every good thing which is ours in Christ Jesus. It is a switch to almost every blessing and equipping of God and every spiritual gift. Rejoicing over the good things you have in Christ activates the things of the Spirit in you! So count your blessings and expect things to turn for the better! Psa.103:1-4.
Rejoice - acknowledge what God has done!
