Getting an excellent outcome
Teach me Your way, O Lord, And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies...Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!

Are you looking for an excellent outcome in some area of your life today? There are always plenty of areas in our lives in which we need victorious outcomes. God is saying to us, "You'll have them if you wait on Me!" God's Spirit urges us to wait for the Lord's promptings so we can have His leading and His timing. God promises that those who do this will never be ashamed. Isa.49:23
The life of David gives an inspiring example of waiting to get the Lord's timely prompting. The example I have in mind happened when the Philistines raided yet again the valley of Baal Perazim. At the time David could have rushed straight into the battle, after all, he'd defeated them the last time. Nevertheless, he waited on the Lord. He waited to get the Lord's instructions with the Lord's timing and to know the Lord was going to be working with him. He acted only when he got this and as a result he won a mighty victory! 1Chron.14:8-17.
Everything doesn't have to get sorted out this instant! To think so is your natural man's tendency. It is not that of the "hidden man" of the heart who is in touch with God. Instead of acting in haste today, wait on the Lord. It is an act of faith to wait on the Lord. Wait on the Lord and He'll be faithful to accompany you into every situation. Wait on the Lord and He'll prompt you, protect you and provide for you. Don't wait without end rather wait until He prompts you. Proceed the moment He does. Proceed in what He prompts you to do.
God's got the best plans!
