Containers of blessings

A pastor was making a house call on a family who were suffering with real material lack. As he left he told them, "There is a treasure in this house that once you find it will absolutely turn things around for you!" After he'd gone the family began searching. Eventually someone pulled out the dust-covered Bible. Inside the front cover they read the verse I began this message with! They took it to heart, in faith acted on its truth and by it their lives were transformed.
The prophets of God left on earth priceless vessels of blessing. These vessels of blessing are the words of God. Sadly, over the centuries they have gotten covered with dust and debris. Nevertheless, they remain as containers of hope, faith, life and spirit. They are precious to the one who uncovers them. Some provide faith, hope and courage for health and healing while others have this for finance and material needs. In the Bible you will find priceless vessels of blessing for every condition of man.
To uncover the treasure of the Bible you have to be like an archaeologist. You get down on your hands and knees and carefully uncover things with joy and patience. At your invitation the Holy Spirit will show you where to dig and provide you with the tools for digging. With His help you can be constantly discovering treasures in God's Word. They will be treasures that will enrich your life as much as you receive and act upon them. As Isaiah declared, "The Lord of Hosts is wonderful in counsel and excellent in guidance". Isa.28:29.
