Steadfast in the faith
Be sober (self-controlled), be vigilant (watchful); because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith.
1 Peter 5:8-9 - NKJV
Has the devil dealt you a blow? How have you responded? The temptation is to declare your condition and your situation. Don't. Be a fighter. Voice what God's word says about your situation! Take your stance on God's word. Then you can dodge the devil's punches and land a punch of yours on him! Eph.6:10-19.
It's like boxing. A boxer knows he has to have his stance right. His stance is the way he carries himself on his feet ready to punch or to dodge a punch. He will have been coached in this. His early training will have established for him a good fighting stance. Christians also need a good fighting stance. Without it as you come out of your corner your opponent the devil will get in a punch that knocks you down! What's the good stance you need? How are you told to fight in the scripture portion above? It says, "Resist the devil, steadfast in the faith." The good stance you need is one of being "steadfast in the faith". How do you develop that? You do it by grounding your faith on God's word!
Perceptions and feelings change but God's word remains the same. God's word makes you steadfast in the faith! This was the firm footing on which Jesus resisted Satan. He resisted the devil saying, "It is written!" He didn't responded to the devil's attack by voicing how He felt. Neither did He respond by voicing how He perceived things. He just responded with God's word. Deal with the attack, adversity or trial you are facing right now in the same way! Mat.4:1-11.
Avoid the punches, land your own!
