For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.

1 Corinthians 15:22 - NKJV

Christ gave you back the ability to live out who you really are - a spirit with a soul and in a body! You are a spirit. By living as a child of God, a spirit, you can have control to determine your lifestyle and destiny. God made man as a spirit with a soul in a body. Man was created as a triune entity - spirit, soul (the seat of mind, will and emotion), body. Man, a spirit, was always to rule over his soul and body. This was God's perfect design. Trouble came though when Adam's sin disrupted this divine set up. Man's spirit became vulnerable to his soul and body taking over running of his lifestyle and his destiny.

Adam's sin brought death - by sin he died to the life of God. He lost the life of God. Jesus saved you from death and gave you life. The life of God is Absolute Life (Greek: zoe). This "death" came upon all men. Nevertheless, rejoice, for what you had lost through Adam you regained in Christ. When you received Jesus by Him you received again the life of God. The wages of sin is death but the gift of God in Jesus is eternal life. Now you can reign in life through our Lord Jesus Christ. Joh.10:28, Ro.6:23, Ro.5:17.

God has given you a glorious new life in Jesus. In this new life you can choose to put your spirit in charge! Relegate your soul to a serving function, not a steering function. Have your spirit man take up the helm of your life! Your spirit will sail you forwards by faith with the Holy Spirit as your navigator. God will take care of the weather conditions. Soon you'll be sailing into God's peace which is the haven you've long desired. Ps.107:30.
