Getting ready to go through
For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.
1 Corinthians 16:9 - NKJV
Have you had a glimpse of an entrance into better things - things that glorify God in your life - but find yourself hindered from going through that doorway to them? The verse above alerts you to what is going on! This is what's happening; where God has opened a door there are also many adversaries! Hidden forces of darkness have every intention of preventing you entering into God's plans and purposes for your life. Eph.6:12.
I have watched believers newly arrived on mission fields go into such a state of shock when they met adversity that they abandoned their walk of faith and left the field! They had failed to realise the extent of the opposition that can come against you when you serve the Lord and they were ill-equipped to deal with it. Learn from this! Your entrance into the God-given purposes and plans for your life is likely to meet opposition. Be fully prepared to take up all the spiritual equipping you have! By that equipping you can make your way through!
If Christ has opened a door for you to go through then it's wise to anticipate the likelihood of oppositions and hindrances between you and the door. It's important to know how to deal with these. God has given us promises of victory over our adversaries or enemies. Resort to these promises. Put the full weight of your confidence upon them. Act upon your part in them and call upon God for His part. Here are some example promises - Isa.54:14-15, Isa.41:10-13, Eph.6:10-13.
