Eternal Life
Lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
1 Timothy 6:12 - NKJV
Divine health is an expression of redemption in a believer's physical body. Is it currently evident in you? If it is, then give God praise and see to it that your health is to His glory. Perhaps, though, in contrast to this you are presently struggling with ill health. If so, keep looking to the Lord in prayer, worship and His word for how you can touch the hem of His garment and experience His restoring power. Mar.5:25-34.
Paul exhorted Timothy, "Lay hold on eternal life". Perhaps the key to health and healing for you is to do just that, to lay hold of eternal life. You see, this phrase "eternal life" is not simply referring life after this life but actually refers to life that is ours in Christ here and now. Indeed, this life is the life of God. It's absolute life in which there is no death at all. It's the life Jesus came to give you by His death. Eternal life is present in you. It has been since the moment you accepted Jesus as your Saviour. Take strong hold of this life He has given you! See Joh.3:36 and 1Joh.5:11-12.
My family and I enjoy the blessing of divine health in Christ. Our laying hold on eternal life is one reason for this. It was the revelation of the power of this life in our lives that stirred us to lay hold of it. It was a revelation that came by the Holy Spirit through God's Word. It happened as we reflected on the word of God that told us of that life. As a result, instead of merely passively acknowledging eternal life we started actively laying hold of it. You can have that revelation too. You can lay hold of eternal life as we have. 1Cor.2:12
Let eternal life be active in you
