Given you by God
God did not give to us a spirit of fearfulness but of power and of a divine and self-sacrificial love and of a sound mind.

What a thrilling insight that verse gives us into what God by His Spirit has brought into our lives. Do you desire to live dynamically for God, having real impact on the world around you? Then awaken to what this verse declares to be yours. Take hold of its promise. Take it to heart and you will be transformed by it. It is awesome what God has given to you in Jesus! Isa.52:1.
God has not given you a spirit of fearfulness. On the contrary, He has given you the Spirit of power, of love and a sound mind. Don't live with fearfulness. Fear will often try to attach itself to you but you don't have to come under its influence. Instead you can rest in the knowledge that within you you have the spirit of power, love and a sound mind. Resist fear like you resist the devil. You have God's Spirit and He gives you power, love and sound mind so you can oppose fear. Any spirit of fear should be commanded to leave. I needed to do this when I came under a spiritual attack years ago in Indonesia. When I did God wonderfully delivered me. Eph.6:10-13, Ja.4:7.
God's Spirit gives you power. He gives you love. He gives you a sound mind. All this is yours in Christ by His Spirit. From the moment this revelation comes to you you will never be the same again. Have you taken the knowledge of this up in your heart? Take it to heart now and cherish it there. Allow God's Spirit to generate in you divine power, flow through your heart divine love and impart to you a sound, collected mind.
