Living today with God
For if a man thinks he "knows" he may still be quite ignorant of what he ought to know.
1 Corinthians 8:2 - J.B.Phillips' Translation
Let's not be boasting in what we know. Let's rejoice rather in who we know - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We may know little or nothing of real worth in the natural but through our relationship with God we can receive His knowledge of how to act in our days. This is a precious role of the Holy Spirit in our lives; giving us wisdom, counsel and direction for life as it unfolds. Psa.103:7.
Life is unfolding. Most situations are unfolding. Things are rarely, if ever, static. Conditions are changing from day to day in your world. Morning prayer is an opportunity to seek grace to adapt and be flexible about changes while all the time having joy and good humour. It's also an opportunity to seek God for the wisdom, counsel and direction you may need for the day. Even as the day progresses, keep looking to the Lord for answers and don't ever start thinking you "know". Stay open to a nudge from God's Spirit in your inner man and don't get settled in the assurance your mind gives you that it "knows what it's doing". Eph.3:20. Mat.10:19, Prov.3:5-6.
Look how Jesus was in His ministry here. We read in the Bible He got apart to commune in prayer with His Heavenly Father before the action of the day began. You can do this too. As you commune with Him, you'll hear from Him. You'll be giving Him the opportunity to give you the knowledge and the wisdom that you need to live life successfully. Stay in a relationship of love with your Heavenly Father. In that love relationship, keep vitally alive your communion with Him. Luke 6:12.
Let God direct you dynamically!
