Divine Provision
A little that a righteous man has is better than the riches of many wicked.
Psalm 37:16 - NKJV
The verse above has the format of a proverb although it's from Psalms. The stated purpose of the Bible's proverbs is to impart skillful and godly wisdom. Sadly, it's easy for us to end up reading proverbs without connecting with their truth. You have to remind yourself that all Bible verses, including the Bible's proverbs, are given by inspiration of God. Bible proverbs can give you divine insight and guidance for this life! Prov.1:1-2, 2Tim.3:16-17.
I was reading that verse above and by it God gave me a new view of the financial provision I had. For the first time I saw that verse as practical, dynamic guidance rather than a static statement of truth without application. Suddenly I had a totally different view of my "little". Suddenly, my "little" took on an appearance of financial power I had never recognised before! Why? Because, as I reflected on it, I heard God's Spirit say, "The money in your possession is better, and I mean really better, than the riches of many wicked. It is better is every sense. It will do more, endure more and provide more!"
How are you viewing the financial provision God has given you? Do you see it as a few notes and coins or do you see it as a little that is better than the riches of many wicked? Ask God by His Spirit to show you your provision's worth in Christ. May you, from this time onwards, treat your money with a new respect. May you see your little as different from the little of ordinary men. The little you have is special because it's yours and you have God's favour, blessing and anointing to prosper. Prov.10:22.
Little is much with God!
