Fresh oil for today
But my horn You have exalted like a wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil.
Psalms 92:10 - NKJV
As a Christian you have available to you for every new day a refreshing of the anointing! You never have to operate in yesterday's oil of anointing. You also never have to be anxious the anointing won't be there for you or it won't be sufficient for you. As each new day comes and as each new challenge is faced the oil of the anointing flows down. Psa.133:3.
God's anointing is like God's grace in that both are given on the day and both are sufficient for the day! You're told not to worry about tomorrow. One reason God emphasis this is because today you have no possession of the grace and anointing that comes for tomorrow. If your mind starts pondering what you might possibly face tomorrow it gets you anxious since you have no sight as yet of the grace and anointing that is coming tomorrow. Tomorrow, provided you commune with your Heavenly Father, you will have fresh grace to help and fresh anointing for the labours! Mat.6:34; 10:19-20; Heb.4:16.
Today you have an anointing and you can flow in that anointing in whatever you are doing to the glory of God. God's anointing on you will minister what you need to get the job done. Apostle John declared, "You have an anointing from the Holy One." Notice he says "you have". He tells us a present condition we are in! As a Christian you have an anointing from the Holy One. Are you getting anxious over whether you can handle today's challenges? Remind yourself of the Lord's fresh oil of anointing! 1Joh.2:20,27; 2Cor.3:5.
Grace and anointing are yours in Christ!
