Will it be peace or woe?
To have a mind dominated by our lower human nature is to turn life into death; to have a mind dominated by the Spirit is to have a real life and every blessing.

A spiritual set back is often the result of your lower nature getting into the driving seat. If that happens the sooner you wake up to where you're at the better off you'll be! Your lower nature might for a moment get on top. Nevertheless, you can relegate it to where it belongs and put your spirit back in charge. God's word is clear about where carnally motivated thinking winds you up - in a right mess! Get back to being spiritually minded; its reward is life and peace! Ro.8:5-9.
I was on my way back home when it happened. The traffic that morning in Cheltenham was snarling up all over and I found myself behind a driver who had no idea how to get out from a junction into the main traffic flow. Frustration took over; I went round him on the wrong side of the road, jostled my way into the traffic and over into the traffic lane for home. Moments later I was reflecting how out of the Spirit that was!
Are you giving rule to the lower nature or to the spirit? This is the question to ask yourself if you get tempted to act like I did in traffic! In certain conditions, you can allow a natural reaction to what happens to be so strong that it overpowers the spirit's rule. It then takes over handling things. If you do give the rule to the lower nature, you'll have regrets at the very least but often also a whole lot of trouble! What has rule in your life is crucial. It fundamentally affects how you act and the decisions you make.
Keep yourself in God's mode of operation!
