Prayer changes things
Oh, continue Your lovingkindness to those who know You, And Your righteousness to the upright in heart.
Psalm 36:10 - NKJV
I often catch hold of those words of the psalmist above and speak them out loud to the Lord in prayer. How precious and greatly to be desired at all times is the Lord's lovingkindness. It is by lovingkindness that God expresses His covenant relationship with His people. Lovingkindness is the channel by which peace, provision, protection and prosperity of covenant reaches us. God has brought us into a covenant relationship with Himself through His Son Jesus. His lovingkindness is now towards you. His heart also is towards you.
Some years ago my wife, Ruth, was catering for a local membership club when it closed suddenly. This left her without a job; a job which God had been using both as a means of financial supply to us and also as an opening for sharing the Gospel. Faced with this Ruth and I called on God's lovingkindness in just the same way as David the psalmist did. We then made steps towards finding a new job. After only a short time she got a job that had better pay in a better place with better conditions. Opportunities were there also to share the Gospel with those she was to work with. Praise the Lord! Phil.4:19.
I'm sure you've seen His lovingkindness in your life. Praise and thank your Heavenly Father for it. Request from Him that His lovingkindness continue with you and towards you. It doesn't matter where you are or who you are, God has His lovingkindness extended out towards you. Call upon it so that His covenant intervention can be evident in your life through His peace, protection and provision. Expect a tangible experience of God's lovingkindness. Psa.23:5-6.
God has lovingkindness for you
