Spiritual people
If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.
1 Peter 4:14 - NKJV
It's wonderful what God can do with people in Christ who are responding to the Holy Spirit. It's not just the prophets and apostles who are spiritual people. Spiritual people are Christians who are responsive to God's Spirit - look what Peter says about believers in the verse above. Spiritual people alter their day's plans or change their actions or conversation when within them they sense a nudge, prompt or instruction of God's Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is our Christian coach! Jesus gave the Holy Spirit the title "Parakletos". Parakletos can be translated in English as "Counsellor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener and Standby". (See Amplified Bible) We could sum up all those words with the word "coach"! As a professional tennis player has a coach so a Christian has the Holy Spirit. The tennis coach travels with the player. He encourages the player in good play and he helps the player correct bad play. He exhorts, encourages and builds up the player. This is the sort of relationship the Holy Spirit desires with us. Joh.14:16.
The Holy Spirit wants to coach us in life to the glory of God! Adversity and adversaries test that relationship - like it tests the relationship between tennis player and tennis coach - but the good player knows when he's got a good coach. You and I should recognise what a good coach we have in the Holy Spirit. We can rely on Him to bring us through.
Be responsive to the Holy Spirit!
