The Daily Guide
What are you saying?
Let the house of Aaron now say, "His mercy endures forever." Let those who fear the Lord now say, "His mercy endures forever."
Psalm 118:3-4 - NKJV
God's people have a confession of hope to make! Our confession of hope has a big impact on our lives. There was a man in my church some years ago who suffered from terrible insecurity. He arrived one Sunday at our service having grown a beard. I was chatting with him and he said, "I've got this beard so ugly characters don't pick on me." I replied, "I think it's not faces but body language those people pick up on." I then recommended he make Psalm 23 his daily confession of hope.
What you're saying about yourself, your life and its conditions is what you are establishing in your life. King David, for example, continually proclaimed all God had so graciously granted to him. David's life was often in jeopardy from his enemies. As a result, at all times, he needed to be able to ride out like a champion who could not be defeated. He needed to be able to ride out displaying absolute confidence in the knowledge that God was with him. To this end, David continually made confessions in song of God's faithfulness, lovingkindness and salvation in a form we now call psalms. 2Cor.1:20.
Spiritual men and women confess what has been promised them by God. By this they establish to themselves that destiny. They literally call it to themselves. Proclaim consistently over your life the promises God has given His people. Soon you'll start walking as a person of hope and confidence attracting to yourself the good things of God. Psa.91:2, 23:6, 27:1.
Let your words bring in what God's granted!
