The Daily Guide
What next?
He said to the lepers, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.
Luke 17:14 - NKJV
Those lepers had to do the "wenting" before they were cleansed. In other words, they had to be on the road to the priests before they met with their healing. Similarly, Naaman in order to receive his healing had to get out into the river Jordan. What have you gone to the Lord for? Has it manifested in your life? If not, maybe there's a road for you to be on or a river for you to be in.
Let me compare it to an Olympic medal ceremony. Before the ceremony a list is published of the athlete's upon whom honours will be conferred. At that point, though, no one has anything until they step forward at the ceremony. It is only when they step forward that the medal gets around their necks and in their hands. Between results coming out and medals being worn is a path for each athlete to take. The athlete has to follow the directions to the podium and then step forward to receive it. The medal is only put round the athlete's neck once he arrives on the podium even though it is his for the receiving the moment the results come out.
You receive by faith when you pray but usually the "wearing it" comes later. You pray in faith and then, like the athlete, you have to step forward to where it can be hung around your neck and you can hold it in your hand. It's that "step forward" that sees your desire fulfilled. Do you need a healing or a supply of a need? Pray making your request in faith then look to God for the "what next". Do the "what next" and receive to yourself God's answer. Mar.11:24, Jam.2:17.
By faith, yes, but by action also!
