Saints alive

by Pastor Simon

Balaam was rebuked for his iniquity: a dumb donkey speaking with a man's voice restrained the madness of the prophet.

2 Peter 2:16 - NKJV

Commit to God in prayer all the daily burden that builds up of care, distress and sin. God never intended for you to be a burden carrier - that's what he gave us donkeys, mules and other pack animals for. You are to resort to God and place things in His Hands. Then He can lift it off you. If you fail to do this you'll get yourself apart from a vibrant communion with God. The result will be a lose of spiritual sensitivity and a carrying of a heavy load! Psa.62:8.

This is what happened with the prophet Balaam. As Balaam went with the princes of Moab his donkey was given the spiritual sense that he should have had. God opened its mouth to speak and as a result Balaam survived to speak a blessing over God's people. There was a role reversal. The donkey became God's mouth piece and it was Balaam who was the one carrying the burden. He carried a burden of guilt and disobedience that made him spiritually insensitive. It just shows how far we can get ourselves away from the glorious intention God has for our lives if we don't earnestly maintain our communion with Him. Nu.22:22-35.

Jesus made a way for us to enter into perfect communion with God. God by His Holy Spirit gives us the means of communicating with Him perfectly. By praying in tongues you can pour out your heart to Him. You should not be living with a heavily burdened heart. Clear up and unburden your heart before God. In doing this, you'll be restored - restored from behaving like a mule to living freely and lightly like a saint in Christ! Heb.10:14, Ro.8:26-27.

Learn to live freely and lightly!
