The (Heavenly) city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. There shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

Revelation 22:23,27 - NKJV

A lady asked me how she could be sure her daughter who had died was in Heaven. I was able to tell her we know exactly who the inhabitants of Heaven (the Heavenly City) are! The Bible tells us they are those whose names are in the Lamb's Book of Life. What is the Lamb's Book of Life? It is the book recording the names of all those who have received life (the life of God, eternal life) through the Lamb, Jesus.

How do you get your name written in that book? By personally accepting Jesus as the Lamb of God (the One sacrificed for your sins so you can have a Father to child relationship with God). When Jesus comes into your life, at your personal invitation, as your Saviour then He brings with Him for you the gift of eternal life (the life of God). See John 3:36. Those who have received that gift have their names in the Lamb's Book of Life and they get to inhabit the Heavenly City.

How do you accept Jesus? You can pray this prayer, "Father in Heaven, I believe Jesus died for me and You raised Him from the dead. Father, I now confess Jesus as Lord and accept Him as my personal Saviour. In Jesus' Name, Amen." I am looking forward to meeting you in the big party in Heaven celebrating the Lamb's marriage to His bride! Ro.10:9-10, Rev.19:7-9, Eph.5:5:25-27.
