Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17 - NKJV.
What a liberty! We are set free from all that old junk we had in our lives. As far as God is concerned it has passed away. Now you are a new creation spirit by the power of the Holy Spirit.
At your rebirth a whole, complete, instantaneous spiritual transformation took place. You became His child. When God poured out on you His Holy Spirit of sanctification you were immediately created like unto God in righteousness and true holiness. You became a new creation known in Heaven as the "righteousness of God". (2 Corinthians 5:21.)
