The Daily Guide
Joyful!
Don't be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, let the Holy Spirit fill and control you.
Ephesians 5:18 - New Living Translation
Give a welcome to the Holy Spirit! It is by the work of the Holy Spirit that we have a direct knowledge of God in our lives. By Him our eyes are opened to see God's glory. It is also by the Holy Spirit that we receive our Heavenly Father's refreshing, restoring, fixing and healing. Let's appreciate more the Holy Spirit and the promise of His ministry in our lives. 1Cor.2:12; Acts 1:4,2:33.
Worship the Lord without restraint! Worship in your liberty as a child of God! It is in times of such worship that you will experience a holy intoxication the Holy Spirit, It will be as though you had partaken of the wine of God's glory. Such an experience of the Holy Spirit brings on an exuberant rejoicing of your heart. From that rejoicing comes a refreshing for your whole being. There's no danger of a hang over! Instead it will leave you a happier and far sweeter person to know. By the Holy Spirit those tendencies to irritability and moodiness will be flushed out. 2Sam.6:14, Ro.14:17.
Worship the Lord freely with thanksgiving! Do it with songs of praise. As you do so, let yourself come under the influence of the Holy Spirit. Start praising God in song with your mouth from your heart. In so doing, you'll draw up the joy of the Lord from your heart. The moment that joy surfaces you'll have rejoicing. Breaking into praise releases joy. It will give you an experience of refreshing that revitalises your whole being. Eph.5:19.
Sing your way into a time of refreshing!
