Love is the answer
For the love of Christ controls and urges and impels us.

This year allow God's love to control you, urge you and even impel you. God's love came into your heart on the day you accepted Christ as your Saviour. When you were born again the Holy Spirit poured out the love of God in your heart. You now have the power to walk in love. You can decide to walk in love and the Spirit of God will aid you and uphold you in that decision.
God's love is based on a decision to love. By God's love you will be able to say, "I will love this person no matter how they are behaving right now." Allow God's love to rise up and overflow from within. God's love can have controlling influence in your life. It can displace the destructive soulish passions that once controlled you. It can bring God's creative, healing power onto the scene of your life. In God's love - this love that's shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit - you will find a new capability to forgive and to let resentment drop. God's love can rescue you from envy. It can extract you from whatever strife you may have gotten yourself into with others. Rom.5:5.
As you yield to God's love you will begin to see beyond the failings of others. God's love is not based on an emotional reaction. God's love enables you to love unconditionally. You will start to believe to find beauty in others and possibilities for good in their future. And guess what? You are likely to find that people you view through God's love begin to acknowledge that God's love is real and present in our world today. Open your Bible to 1 Corinthians 13 and reflect on the character of God's love.
