Cleansed by the Blood
If we really are living in the same light in which He eternally exists, then we have true fellowship with each other, and the blood which His son Jesus shed for us keeps us clean from all sin.

Sin has to be resolutely laid aside from your life. It's a decision you make. However, freedom from it comes by the blood of Jesus! Paul faced up to the problem of sin with a real directness. I admire his honesty. He wrote, "I delight in the law of God according to the inward man but I see another law in my members...bringing me into captivity to the law of sin." That was his honest acknowledgement that he couldn't free himself from sin - it was going to have to be God! Ro.7:22-25.
Sin defiles and contaminates us; the blood of Jesus frees us from all of its filth. We've got to resort to the Blood. As the blood is life to the flesh (Lev.17:11) so His Blood is life to the spirit - it cleanses us from the death of sin. As the physical body has blood that purifies, so the Body of Christ (the Church) has the Blood of Jesus to cleanse it. You and I can only stay vitally alive to God by this cleansing work of the Blood. 1Joh.1:9.
Are you having a struggle against sin? By your own efforts it won't happen that you escape from it! It's going to have to be a work of the Blood! 1) Open your Bible and get in the light of God's Word streaming out on you. Walk in that light. 2) Get yourself in the Church, in fellowship with Jesus and the other saints. In doing this, you put yourself in a position to experience the cleansing work of the Blood. 1Joh.1:7.
Let the Blood of the Lamb rescue you from sin!
