Liberty in praise!
Oh, that men would praise the Lord for His goodness,...Let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare His works with rejoicing.
Psalm 107:21-22 - NKJV
Praise, thanksgiving and rejoicing are essential keys to entering a life lived in the liberty, victory and power of Jesus Christ. You have to stir yourself to praise and give thanks. At first, you have to require it of your flesh as a sacrifice to be made to God. Yet, as you go with this, in response to your sacrifice there comes from Heaven a refreshing for both soul and body! Your sacrifice turns to celebration (a rejoicing!) at the experience of God's goodness. Psa.43:4.
Jesus has put joy in our hearts. Joy is in there; praise and thanksgiving let it out of there! I remind myself of that regularly. Apostle Paul declared he constantly gave joy place in his life. He even delayed his departure from this life, so he had more time to promote the joy of faith in the lives of the Philippian Christians. The joy of faith can have constant expression in the Christian who is prepared to offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving with joyful lips. Joh.15:11, 16:22, Phil.1:25.
No matter what comes against you, offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving. Today, in everything and through anything, praise until the joy of the Lord is established as your strength and you are refreshed! I have experienced the strength of joy and the weakness of its loss. I am determined to live in the joy of the Lord and I will sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving knowing that then His joy will abound in me. Jer.33:11.
Abound in joy through the sacrifices of praise!
