Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
John 16:23-24 - NKJV.
When you pray in the name of Jesus you are declaring who He is to you and you are proclaiming what He has done for you. When you pray in the name of Jesus you are announcing He lives as head of His church - His bride - and you are a part of that church. Every time you use the name of Jesus you are expressing your relationship to Him.
You and I are married to Jesus. As His bride He counts on us to care for His interests in the Earth. As His bride He has given us His name and with His name - in His name - we both petition in Heaven and require on Earth. Jesus gave us His name to live in, to act in, to ask in.
