Light to walk in
The entrance of your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.
Psalm 119:130 - NKJV
Are you distressed by events in the world or conditions in your life? God's Word has light for you to walk in! By it you won't have to walk in the darkness the shadow of distressing circumstances makes. You don't have to stumble around in uncertainty. The light of God's Word will comfort you. It will show you where you can safely step. Your heart will rejoice in His light! Psa.19:8,119:105; Joh.8:12.
A lot the time what we need in life is insight. We ask ourselves, "What's going on here?" The Bible can tell us. The Bible is full of revelation from God's Spirit about the relationship between the unseen world of the spirit and the visible world around us. It reveals that the world around us was set up for God's intended purpose by the Word of God. It reveals the origin of sin, death and destruction. It reveals the source of life, love and liberty. The Bible reveals how you and I can have peace through Jesus Christ even though in the world around us there are storms of trouble! Joh.14:27.
Read frequently the Gospel of John and read in it especially the words of Jesus. One of the most comforting, refreshing, enlightening experiences you can have is to open the Gospel of John, start in chapter three and read the parts spoken by Jesus - the parts in quotation marks. After you've done that you could go from John's Gospel to John's epistles (his letters) and let the Holy Spirit continue bringing understanding and light into your life by God's words, the words He had John write down. You'll find in them precious counsel for life!
