The boomerang principle

by Pastor Simon

Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, For they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him, For the reward of his hands shall be given him.

Isaiah 3:10-11 - NKJV

It's the boomerang principle! There's a come back on what you put out in life. There's a return on what you sow. It's like farming. The farmer sows and gets a crop according to the seed he's sown. The farmer who doesn't sow doesn't get a crop and, even worse, the farmer who neglects his fields finds that in the place of crops come up thistles and nettles.

Are you tending the fields of your life? Are you weeding them, tilling them and sowing good spiritual seed in them? As an example, consider your words, the ones you are regularly speaking. Are you watching what you say and weeding out the bad expressions and the intemperate words? You need to sow good expressions of faith and praise into your heart and mind for your mouth to be heard speaking. Whatever comes out of your mouth directly effects the climate and even the localised weather of your life. Psa.141:3.

If there are continual storms arising around your life consider what keeps coming out of your mouth. The weather systems of life are favourable around God's children who see to it that expressions of faith, love, peace and praise flow out from their mouths. How can you get to that point? You can do it by weeding and sowing to your heart and mind. Open your Bible to find both the tools and the seed. Invite the Holy Spirit to help you. Together you can cultivate a wonderful crop of peace for your life. Ja.3:18, Heb.13:15, Isa.32:16-18.

Enjoy a harvest of peace!
