Find Christ's peace
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 14:27 - NKJV
Are you in need of knowing the peace of Jesus Christ in your life right now? God has had His prophets and apostles pen many words of comfort and encouragement to you. He has also made many precious promises to you which He moved them to write down. These are all available to you today recorded for you in the Bible.
You can quickly access and benefit from many of these by opening the Bible to Psalms. Some of my favourite psalms are Psalm 23, 27, 42, 63, 91, 103. I read these aloud to myself and I also pray, speaking to the Father of the words He had written down for me. I recommend you do the same. At first your mind will be restless and have difficulty in focusing on what these psalms are saying to you. Nevertheless, persevere. Keep reading them aloud and insisting that your mind pays attention to what your mouth is declaring.
It is good to pray. Here's a guide to starting: 1) Worship - enter the Lord's gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. 2) Go into the Father's presence to stand before His throne of grace. Go boldly because of Jesus. 3) Read aloud some psalms. Psalms are prayer primers. Psalms praise God, they reaffirm His promises and they acknowledge His love. 4) For your specific prayer requests look up specific Bible promises to base those requests on. There are promises in the Bible God has given to you as His child for every situation you may face. Psa.100:4, Heb.10:19-22.
Take time out to enter His peace
