Standing in trouble
Thus says the Lord to you: 'Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God's.'
2 Chronicles 20:15. - NKJV
When we're getting it right in Christ the Bible tells us to expect opposition. Isn't it odd, then, that we're still shocked when the trouble waves of opposition strike? I've been in Christian ministry for almost thirty years. Now you would have thought by now I would have gotten used to every sort of spiritual attack that comes. But, no, at times I still get taken by surprise.
Something hits that throws things into confusion and I'm wondering, "Where has that come from?" I find myself perplexed and thinking, "How did I fail to stay on top of the situation allowing this to happen?" In reality the answer is simple, what has happened has come out of the unseen realm having been orchestrated by the devil. I shouldn't have been perplexed I should immediately have recognised the source. Whenever I don't, invariably I fall into some sort of introspection or analysis of the circumstances. The right initial reaction is to call out to the Lord for His light!
The Lord can show you what His solution is. Call upon the Lord and He'll show you what He has already put in place to deal with the eventuality. The Lord doesn't play catch up with the devil. For every move of the devil God has already set up a cure. Have you been diligently serving the Lord listening to and acting on the counsel of the Holy Spirit? Then God has given you the forewarning and forearming you need so you may see to that the enemy's attack is brought to nothing. Joh.16:33, Isa.41:10-13, Psalm 112:6-8, Isa.54:17.
Look to the Lord who forearms you!
