Let the gratitude flow
One of the ten lepers, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him (Jesus) thanks.
Luke 17:15 - 16 - NKJV
Separately, two Christian brothers I know well went through health scares. Both felt very unwell but with different conditions. Both called for prayer and both went to the doctor. The doctor was sufficiently alarmed at their conditions that he sent them to the hospital for medical tests. Both came away from the tests without needing any form of surgery in spite of the seriousness of how things initially looked.
For me that is answered prayer. It sets me rejoicing in the Lord and giving Him praise. How are the two Christian brothers seeing it? How are they responding towards the Lord? You may well say, "Well, of course, they are rejoicing and praising God too." The story of the ten lepers shows, though, that this isn't always the case. We find of those ten only one returned giving glory to God and praise. Isn't it amazing how the human mind can shut off the heart's overflow of gratitude with thoughts that focus on missed time or missed fingers instead of a body now set free of sickness?
Remember to let the gratitude flow. Rebuke your mind when it thinks thoughts that silence the heart's thankfulness. Reflect on what God has brought you through and brought you out of. Go to Him with praise for His manifest demonstration of His mercies towards you. The one leper who did this received a further blessing from the Lord. The Lord spoke over him declaring, "Thy faith hath made thee whole." (Luk.12:19 - KJV) Have you seen a manifestation of God's mercies in your life? Having seen it, return and glorify Him and may you receive a blessing of wholeness.
Rejoice in all of God's goodness towards you
