Rejoicing in salvation

by Pastor Simon

I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands and crying out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!"

Revelation 7:9 - 10 - NKJV

The apostle John in the spirit saw the saints in Heaven who had come through the great tribulation. They had something they wanted to say. No matter what country or ethnic origin or language grouping the saints in this huge gathering had arrived from they all wanted to declare the same testimony before God's throne. It was one that summed up their life experience as Christians on earth. They cried out, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!" Rev.7:9-17.

Salvation is that marvellous word used in the English language Bible to describe God's all encompassing work of rescue and deliverance demonstrated in human lives. We get to know it first in the form of eternal salvation then afterwards we experience it daily as we are saved out of the adversities of life. The testimony of these saints in Heaven was that they have known salvation in their lives and known it as manifestly from God alone because it belonged to God.

Your rescue is going to have to come from God. It's no good looking elsewhere for it. God is the One to visit with if you want deliverance or rescue. You really do need to get it established in your heart and mind that "salvation belongs to God." The moment you do, you are going to see a lot more if it! Heb.7:25.

May you proclaim the testimony of the saints
