Make it worthwhile!
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:58 - NKJV
"At the end of this week," wrote a Daily Guide reader, "I shall be leaving Pakistan to return to the UK. Thanks so much for your daily messages. They have been very useful and have often answered needs in my spiritual life." The Holy Spirit spoke to my heart as I read her email. He said, "Her ministry in Pakistan has not been in vain. She has used your daily messages to help her labour there in the Lord. As a result she is leaving behind lasting fruit." Praise the Lord!
Wherever you are and whatever you set your hands to when it's in Christ His heavenly purpose can be fulfilled. By having your labour in the Lord you are saving yourself from works that would otherwise be in vain. By daily living and acting in vital union with Jesus you will be moving forwards, building for a rewarding tomorrow. Jesus wants you to be in Him like a branch in the vine; drawing strength, direction and nourishment from Him so that from all your efforts there can come an enduring harvest. John 15.
Act and speak in the Lord! Afterwards, you will receive the reward of knowing that what you accomplished is worthwhile and lasting. To act and speak in the Lord means you have to get your works done in His strength, His power, His joy, His love and with His oversight. How do you do that? By letting God's Word and God's Spirit daily guide you. You have to let His Word and His Spirit help order your behaviour in the sphere of good works He created you for! Eph.2:10
Be fruitful; set up your labours in the Lord!
