A people who are strong

by Pastor Simon

The people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.

Daniel 11:32 - NKJV

We are seeing in our days men and women becoming strong in the Lord and doing exploits. It is their relationship with God that makes the difference. Instead of going through the motions of ritual they are rejoicing in relationship with God through Jesus Christ. As a result, though the nations are getting shaken, the people who know their God are standing firm. Even though the going has got tough the tough - those who are strong - have got going! Mat.7:24-27.

Christianity is centered on knowing God. You know Him and have a relationship with Him through His Son Jesus Christ. Relationship, not ritual, is at the heart of Christianity. You have this relationship because Jesus offered Himself as God's sacrificial Lamb. He gave His life for your reconciliation to the Father. Now you can know God as your heavenly Father. This is what the apostle Paul discovered at his conversion. He came into a personal relationship with God through Jesus. In this way afterwards, he stood firm not matter what came against him. 2 Tim.1:12.

What makes you strong in the Lord? This strength develops from the way you know God as your Heavenly Father. Isn't it amazing to think you can know God and know the things of God? Spend time with your Heavenly Father, spend time with the Holy Spirit, spend time reflecting on God's Word. Walk with your Saviour Jesus Christ. March in His victory procession. Be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. Let the knowledge of His presence with you comfort and reassure you at all times. 2Cor.2:14, 2 Cor.10:4-5, Phil.4:13.

Know God and live in His might
