Excited About Jesus
He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature."
Mark 16:15 - NKJV
I talk about what I am excited about. Isn't that how it is with you? I get excited when I've got something that's really working for me. It might be a car or a bank account, a computer or a relationship; when it's doing something special for me I talk about it. How much more we should be talking about Jesus Christ and His gospel!
Maintain a vibrant, living relationship with Jesus and you'll be excited about the Gospel of Christ. You won't be able to help yourself - you'll be looking for someone to talk to about the good news you've got! You will search to the furthest parts of the earth to find someone who wants to hear about it! One of the ways you keep a vibrant relationship with Jesus is through His Word. You open the New Testament and read reflectively. You receive each phrase as from Jesus and personal to you. In it you hear from Heaven and in your reflection on it you respond back to Heaven with prayer. I'm reading through the book of Acts like this. It's giving me a fresh excitement about Jesus. Heb.1:1.
Have a relationship with Jesus that excites you so much you have to tell someone! The Gospel - the good news of the Anointed One - has got to be preached. It is preached best by those who are excited. When your heart is full of excitement about Jesus it's communicated to others by your walk. People are drawn to the words of an excited believer. We can't keep this good news to ourselves - we've got to keep sharing it with others!
