Precious Promises

by Pastor Simon

Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him.

Psalm 91:14-15 - NKJV.

If you've spent much time reading your Bible you'll have found many promises. All of them are accessed by faith and all of them are conditional. In some of them the condition is implicit - it is taken as understood that you are actively, living out a covenant relationship with God, the Promiser. In the many others - like the scripture from Psalm 91 above - the conditions are explicitly stated.

I am particularly fond of the promises that state their conditions explicitly. They make it clear to me what I've got to do if I want the promise fulfilled. They let me know if I'm already meeting the conditions and therefore can expect fulfilment on demand. Yes, I did say "on demand". God likes it when we challenge Him over a promise, for this shows Him our faith in His integrity.

Take a precious promise today, meet its conditions and expectantly ask for its fulfilment.
