What are you saying?

By what you say you can change your health! You can also change your community and you can even remove mountains. When you have a lot to change, you've got to have a lot to say! Only let everything you say - in spite of every temptation to speak otherwise - be saying God's praises and declaring the promise He's given you through His Word. What God has conceived with His Word in your heart can be delivered into your world by the words you speak! Mar.11:23, Luk.6:45.
What you say is important! God made you in His likeness. One of the first things God is revealed as is the Creator. In Genesis we hear Him speaking things into being with His words. Just as God spoke into being His creation so you are to use the words of your mouth in order to create good. It is easy to drift away from keeping discipline over your mouth. You are prone to speak as you hear others around you speak who have no revelation of God or knowledge of His plan. Pray for words befitting His children - words of creation and good! Psa.19:14, Psa.141:3.
It should be no surprise to you that the Bible says so much about the power of the tongue. Confession is fundamental to Christianity. Confession means using your mouth to declare what you believe. Indeed, it was by this that eternal salvation was brought to you. You believed in your heart and then you confessed with your mouth. This power of my tongue to bestow life is marvellous and wondrous to me! I have experienced in my life the words I've spoken bring the life of God and His kingdom to me, my family and my church! 2Cor.4:13, Ro.10:8-10.
