Wait On Him
Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!
Psalm 27:14 - NKJV
People of faith wait on the Lord. The verse above gives the best advice you could possibly receive on how to live successfully in a pressured and stress-inducing world. Those who wait on God in the courage of His Spirit succeed, living in peace and finding favour with God and man. In contrast, those who run off without it regularly fail and often find themselves suffering in their health, their wealth and even their marriages. Isa.49:23b.
You'll find it gets good all round and in all areas of your life when you make a habit of taking time each day to wait in quietness and hope before the Lord. We hear this from Jeremiah when he declares, "It is good that one should both hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD." Get yourself in hope and quietness through worship, prayer and God's Word. Then wait on God while He imparts to your heart strength, faith, vision and guidance. Lam.3:25-26.
Wait for a precious moment with God! Wait on Him not because He's keeping you waiting but because He knows you'll be getting refreshed as you wait in His presence. Wait in readiness - though not necessarily in idleness. Wait in worship and praise. Wait with an ear ready to hear and an eye ready to see. Wait for your God to motion you to action. Wait for God to give you His Word that will energise you with courage, direction, vision and purpose to overcome your adversaries and reign in life through Christ. Rom.5:17.
Wait, and He'll strengthen your heart!
