The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face, they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.
Deuteronomy 28:7 - NKJV.
God's Word doesn't hide things from you. It's frank. It says, "Yes, you're going to face persecution, affliction and tribulation." Then it gives us the Good News, "God's going to deliver you!" I walked away from a persecuted, afflicted and downtrodden existence when I discovered that God sets deliverance in motion as fast as His people require it.
As a young Christian, I'd been brought up on the "sombre half" of scriptures. It wasn't that the older believers weren't joyous; they just believed in tribulation. It wasn't that they were purposely selling me only half the truth; it was just that they didn't have a revelation of the "salvation half". I celebrate the revelation of the "salvation half" becoming mine. Now I know that when enemies are rising against me then God is also arising to deliver me mightily!
