The Daily Guide
Pilgrim, continue on!
As they pass through the Valley of Baca, They make it a spring; The rain also covers it with pools. They go from strength to strength; Each one appears before God in Zion.
Psalm 84:6-7 - NKJV
The Valley of Baca can't be found on any ancient map of Israel. It wasn't a physical place. Baca means weeping. That Valley is the Valley of Weeping. It is an emotional place of the soul where tears are falling. Everyone comes to that place at sometime in life. Some real anguish, some great need or some pain of this life brings you there. It's a place even Jesus passed through on His way to manifesting God's glory. He wept at seeing Mary and the mourners weeping over Lazarus in the grave. Joh.11:35.
Perhaps you're in the Valley of Weeping. Perhaps you're weeping inside as you go through some circumstance that is causing pain. If you are, I connect with what you are going through for in my life I've been there too. I have experienced what a very deep and desperate place it can feel like. Let me tell you though that in Jesus there is comfort to be found in that place. In that place you can drink His waters of life and be revived. Isa.40:1-5.
In Christ's comfort make your way out of the Valley of Weeping. You didn't choose to be in that valley but you can choose to journey out of there. Here's a Christian journeyer's guide: 1) Let the Lord be your strength. 2) Set your heart on pilgrimage - determine not to reside there but to move towards God's bright future. 3) Look to God's Spirit and His Word for water that revives you. 4) Keep going while the Lord comforts you on your way. 5) Focus on God's promise of His coming reward to you.
A future awaits you beyond the valley of weeping!
